Hello Bowe Tennis Academy Friends,
The Bad News
This has been a difficult spring season for tennis players as we saw the closing of indoor tennis and pickle ball facilities. The current safety precautions for group gatherings also prevent us from operating our summer programs in the way we are all used to gathering, and our traditional Bowe Tennis Academy Camps will be cancelled for the first time in 34 years due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
The Good News
Beginning the week of June 15, we will be scheduling small group drills and private lessons with our BTA staff. We will offer scheduled junior drills with up to 6 players per court and instructor. We will offer junior drills two times per week for 90 minute drills in three week sessions. Participants that register for the full three week session will be scheduled first, and those that want to drop in more flexibly will be able to do so week-to-week based on availability. We will also be offering adult drills. All participants must be registered in advance so that we can manage the size of the groups and schedule needed staff.
Safety Precautions
The safety of our students and staff will be our first priority. We will be asking all participants to stay home if they have any symptoms of illness or have been exposed to someone who is COVID-19 positive. In addition, all participants will be asked to use hand sanitizer at the start of the lessons and drills and on breaks, and to maintain 6 feet of social distance at all times.
Please give me a call directly to schedule lessons and drills. I look forward to seeing all of you soon.
Best Regards,
Jack Bowe, Camp Director & USPTA Tennis Professional
